Education
Aaron Montero attended the University of Costa Rica (UCR) graduating
in 1998.
Incorporated as a Notary Public before the ‘’Dirección Nacional de
Notariado’’ (Notary Public Authority) in 1999
Specialization in Intellectual Property from the National Association of
Universities and Institutions of Higher Education
Graduate courses on Copyright and Industrial Property at the University
of Buenos Aires.
Aaron Montero is a recognized expert on trademark law. He practices in
the Intellectual Property Department focusing primarily on trademark,
copyright and patent matters, as well as advertising and legal disputes.
Mr. Montero also counsels clients in the selection and registration
process of trademarks, the enforcement and registration of trademarks
and copyrights so as to add value to our clients IP portfolio and adding a
significant competitive advantage.
He possesses vast expertise in the drafting, preparation and filing of
patent applications and in the analysis of invention disclosures and
making patentability and infringement options, in addition to having
prosecuted national and foreign patent applications in various fields.
Aaron Montero is a lecturer of Intellectual Property at the University
of Costa Rica. Active Participant in activities programmed by the World
Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Fellow in Intellectual Property
from the Ford Foundation and the Regional Center for Book Promotion in
Latin America and the Caribbean (CERLALC). Invited lecturer in this field at
the University of Costa Rica, the Costa Rican Bar Association, Costa Rican
Institute of Technology, Computer Law Association, and Judicial Branch
School, as well as columnist on Intellectual Property in several media.
Founding Partner of Promotora de Propiedad Intelectual, S.A. (E-Proint).
He is an Associate member of INTA, ASIPI, IIDA, ECTA, APPCR, ITECHLAW,
and AMCHAM. Vice-President of the Costa Rican Computer Law
Association, Secretary of the Costa Rican Internet Business Chamber.
Member of the International Who’s Who of Professionals of the Historical
Society.

Investment.
